Abstract:
In response to the demand for high-precision remote sensing of greenhouse gas point source emissions, the BK-1 satellite is equipped with the Greenhouse Gas Point Source Detection Instrument (SCEDI) and the Single-angle Polarimetric Aerosol Corrector (SPARC), enabling greenhouse gas emission intensity monitoring at sub-100-meter spatial resolution. In this study, inversion experiments were conducted based on simulation data. The results demonstrate that the ground data processing system can comprehensively retrieve column-averaged atmospheric carbon dioxide and methane, monitor emission intensity and emission rates from key sources, perform carbon flux assimilation, and support carbon accounting. The BK-1 satellite demonstrates significant application value in greenhouse gas monitoring surveys and point-source monitoring enforcement, thereby providing useful support for China's "dual carbon" strategic goals.
